Frequently Asked Questions

Q: You are a singer/songwriter by trade...yet you seem to write a lot about sports. What gives??

A: I love singing, writing and performing music. Music is my ultimate passion. However, I am also OBSESSED with sports. It's the Gemini in me...split personality. I love Blender and Slam. I adore Sportscenter and MTV Hits. I like to talk Michael Jackson and Michael Jordan. It's the best of both worlds.

Q: When did you first discover your love of music? Sports?

A: Many moons ago. I grew up in a household where I was surrounded by all different types of music: jazz, polka, pop, broadway, etc. I loved The Little Mermaid. I think my dad might still have a tape of me singing "Part of Your World" at the ripe old age of two...

My love of sports must run in my family's blood. My grandfather was a HUGE hockey and baseball fan. My immediate family has always been really into basketball. I think I attended my first game while still in the womb... and I bet I was heckling even then.

Q: Do you have a favorite genre of music? Favorite Sport?

A: I can truly say that I am a lover of all types of music. In my opinion, music is all about conveying emotion. As long as it can make you "feel"... whether it's excited, sad, sexy, angry, or whatever... it's a quality song. My favorite sport is without a doubt pro-basketball. I will gladly watch any game... even Bobcats vs. Grizzlies. I also like the NFL, NCAA bball and football, NHL, kickboxing, UFL. I can do baseball... but only the rivalries and playoffs. I don't really know a lot about soccer. Obscure sports are fun for lazy afternoons. Who doesn't like to watch a good trick-shot pool competition?

Q: What are your favorite sports television shows?

A: Sportscenter or ESPNEWS is a daily necessity for me. Kind of like a drug. I also really enjoy PTI, Around the Horn and Cheap Seats.

Q: How many jerseys do you own?

A: 16. 11 Chauncey Billups (10 Detroit, 1 Denver), 1 Rodney Stuckey Jersey, 1 Tayshaun Prince Jersey, 1 Ben Gordon Jersey, 1 Darren McCarty jersey and 1 U of M practice jersey.

Q: If you could change one thing in the world of pro-sports, what would you change?

A: I would make more plays reviewable in the NBA and NHL. Perhaps initiate a challenge rule similar to the NFL. Too many non-reviewable bad calls have cost teams important games. (Is that two things?)

Q: Are you biased towards your favorite teams?

A: Umm... yes?

Q: Can Chauncey Billups do any wrong?

A: Nope... sorry.

Q: Will you marry me?

A: Sure!
